Metal Detector Rental / Event Waiver

  

This waiver and release of liability is executed on this date below by Renter shown below in favor of Mobile Metal Detector, its directors, officers, employees, and agents.

 

1. Acknowledgment of Risk

Renter acknowledges that the use of a metal detector involves certain inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, equipment damage, and environmental hazards. Renter assumes full responsibility for any injuries or damages that may occur during the rental period.

 

2. Release and Waiver

Renter, on behalf of themselves, their heirs, assigns, and personal representatives, hereby releases, waives, discharges, and covenants not to sue MMD or JHH, its directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any injury, death, or property damage that may occur during the rental period.

 

3. Indemnification

Renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless MMD from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to Renter's use of the metal detector.

 

4. Condition of Equipment

Renter acknowledges that they have inspected the metal detector and found it to be in good working condition. Renter agrees to return the metal detector and any equipment or supplies in the same condition as when it was received, subject to normal wear and tear.

 

5. Governing Law

This waiver and release of liability shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of NJ.

 

6. Injury Risk

MMD is not responsible for any injuries to person or property

 

7. Media

MMD may use and share photos and video on related social media

 

Adhere to the attached Metal Detecting Code of Conduct.

 

By signing/hitting submit below, Renter acknowledges that they have read and understood this waiver and release of liability and voluntarily agree to its terms.

  1. Follow all local, state, and federal laws related to metal detecting.

  2. Respect private property and never metal detect an area without permission.

  3. Pack out what you pack in, and properly dispose of any trash you find.

  4. Leave all gates, structures, and personal property as they were before.

  5. Fill in every hole you dig. Leave no trace you were there.

  6. Never dig in a way that harms vegetation, wildlife, or changes natural features.

  7. Report any significant historical artifacts to local authorities.

  8. Be an ambassador for the hobby by being courteous and thoughtful at all times.
